The AGM NVG-50 3AW1 is designed for the professional who refuses to be hindered by "tunnel vision." Most professional night vision units are limited to a 40° field of view; the NVG-50 shatters that limit with a 51° wide-angle optical system. This increased perspective allows you to scan larger areas with less head movement, providing a critical advantage in high-speed navigation or tactical entry.
As a 3AW1 model, this unit is equipped with highest-grade Gen 3 Auto-Gated "White Phosphor Level 1" image intensifier tubes. "Level 1" denotes a virtually spot-free image (Zone 1 cleanliness), while the P-45 white phosphor screen provides a natural black-and-white image that is significantly easier on the eyes during long missions than traditional green. With Manual Gain Control, you can dial back the brightness in urban environments to preserve detail or increase it in total wilderness to see every shadow.
