The AmeriGlo 7XL is a purpose-built sight set for shooters running a red dot on a Glock MOS slide. The XL-height tritium front and steel rear sit just above the slide so they remain fully visible through the bottom of the RDS window — giving you a backup iron sighting system that co-witnesses with the dot, never blocks it.
If your red dot ever goes down — dead battery, fogged lens, broken emitter — you don't lose your zero. The 7XL puts a glowing tritium front dot exactly where the red dot was, so your training transfers instantly. Steel construction, factory tritium vials, and a clean black-out rear keep your sight picture fast in any light.

The 7XL is XL-height — designed to co-witness through a red dot on a MOS-cut slide. On a non-MOS Glock without an optic, these sights will sit very tall and you'd see a black blob in your sight picture. If you don't run an RDS, look at AmeriGlo's standard-height (non-XL) options instead.
The 7XL is designed for the most common Glock MOS red dot footprints — Trijicon RMR, Holosun 507C / 407C / 508T, Vortex Defender, and similar micro red dots. With any of these, the front sight tip will sit right at the bottom of the dot window.
AmeriGlo tritium vials have a useful luminous life of 12+ years — they'll continue to glow noticeably longer than that, just at gradually reduced intensity. After 12 years you can have AmeriGlo replace the vials at low cost.
If you own a Glock-specific sight pusher tool (Glock Front Sight Tool + Rear Sight Pusher), yes — installation takes about 15 minutes. Without proper tools, a local gunsmith will install both sights in 10 minutes for $20-40. Don't use hammers and punches — they damage Glock slides.
All Glock sights are designed to zero at 25 yards with factory ammunition. Once installed, confirm point of aim / point of impact at the range and use the rear sight's windage adjustment if your specific carry round (Federal HST, Hornady Critical Defense, etc.) prints differently. The sight pusher tool moves the rear in 0.001" increments.
