Why Shooters Choose the PMAG 10 LR/SR M3
-
SR25 / AR-10 pattern compatibility. Works with SR25, M110, DPMS LR-308, Knights Armament SR-25, KAC, and most AR-10 pattern rifles. Magpul confirms compatibility with each on their fitment chart.
-
Designed for restricted states + precision shooters. 10-round capacity is California, New York, Massachusetts, and Hawaii compliant — and also the preferred capacity for prone precision shooters who don't want a 20-round mag dragging on the ground.
-
Anti-tilt follower. The wide-stance polymer follower prevents nose-dive feed failures with hunting hollow-points, soft-points, and match ammunition.
-
Self-lubricating + corrosion resistant. Polymer body won't rust, won't dent, and the integrated dry lubricant keeps the follower moving smoothly even when the magazine sits loaded for months.
-
Drop-tested + battle-rated. Tested through Magpul's full environmental qualification: drop, impact, sand, mud, salt spray. Same rigor as the original 5.56 PMAG that became the military standard.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my AR-10 / DPMS LR-308 / SR25?
Yes for SR25-pattern rifles. The PMAG 10 LR/SR GEN M3 is dimensioned for SR25/M110 pattern magazine wells. DPMS LR-308 uses the same pattern. KAC SR-25, KAC SR-25 LE, and most modern AR-10 platforms (Armalite, JP Enterprises late models) are also compatible. Magpul publishes a fitment chart — check before buying for unusual variants like Armalite Mk1 or pre-2018 builds.
Why 10 rounds instead of 20?
Two reasons. First, restricted-state compliance — California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and a few others cap rifle magazines at 10 rounds. Second, precision shooters often prefer 10-round mags because a 20-round mag is too long for prone shooting on a bipod or barricade. The 10-round profile lets the rifle sit lower and steadier.
Is this rated for hunting ammunition?
Yes. The anti-tilt follower is specifically engineered to feed soft-points and hollow-points reliably, which is critical for hunting. The wide-stance follower keeps round 1 from nose-diving even with stubby-nose hunting ammo.
Can I use this for steel match / precision competition?
Absolutely. Many PRS and NRL competitors use the PMAG LR/SR because the 10-round profile keeps the rifle low on barricades. The polymer body also won't dent the way aluminum mags do when dropped during stage transitions.
How does this compare to the metal aluminum mags I've been running?
Trade-offs both ways. Aluminum: heavier, can dent feed lips with hard use, slightly more rigid. Polymer (PMAG): lighter, won't dent, self-lubricating, corrosion-proof, but slightly more flex. For most users — including duty and precision — the PMAG is the upgrade. The Magpul testing program backs that up.
Will TakTactical ship this to me?
Yes — the 10-round capacity is legal in all 50 states. Free shipping on orders over $99. Ships from our US warehouse within 1-2 business days. Questions on fitment with your specific rifle? Call (954) 487-9799 — we'll check Magpul's compatibility chart for you.
