The EDCL2-T is SureFire's flagship dual-output EDC tactical light — and the one professional operators, LE, and serious civilian carriers reach for when reliability matters. A tap-and-hold of the tailcap gives you 5 lumens of low-output white for tasks where blinding yourself or your kids isn't an option. Press all the way through and you get 1,200 lumens of focused tactical output — enough to dominate a hallway, parking lot, or open-field environment.
SureFire builds the EDCL2-T from machined aerospace-grade aluminum with their MaxVision Beam reflector, which produces a balanced flood-and-throw pattern instead of a tight spot. Mil-Spec hard anodized, knurled body for grip even in wet conditions, and a dual-stage tailcap switch that mimics the muscle memory of a weapon light. Powered by two CR123A batteries that you can stage forever — primary lithium chemistry doesn't self-discharge.

SureFire SF123A primary lithium batteries have a 10-year shelf life. You can stage the light for a decade without worrying about a dead battery when you need it — unlike NiMH rechargeables that self-discharge in months.
SureFire specifies primary CR123A lithium batteries — not rechargeable RCR123A. The voltage is different and can damage the regulator or shorten LED life. The body also won't accept 18650 cells. Use only SF123A or another quality CR123A (SureFire, Energizer, Streamlight).
The EDCL2-T includes a two-way pocket clip but does not include a holster or pouch. The clip lets you carry the light bezel-up or bezel-down in your pants pocket. If you want a dedicated belt pouch, Maxpedition or Hill People Gear make light-specific holsters.
SureFire backs the EDCL2-T with their Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. Battery, switch, and bulb-life consumables excluded. Save your receipt and SureFire will guide you through any warranty claim.
