Will this fit my Picatinny rail handguard?
No. This is the M-LOK version. If your handguard has Picatinny slots only, you'll need either the Picatinny variant or an M-LOK-to-Picatinny adapter. M-LOK is the modern standard on most AR-15 builds since 2018.
MVG (vertical) vs AFG (angled) — which is better?
MVG: traditional 90° vertical, great for C-clamp grip and shooters who want a definitive hand stop. Strong for short-distance close-quarter work. AFG: angled forward, great for modern push-pull stance with the support hand farther down the handguard. Strong for precision and longer engagements. Both are excellent — pick based on your shooting style.
Can I mount this on an AR-15 pistol?
Important legal note: Mounting a vertical foregrip on an AR-15 pistol changes its classification under federal law. Check ATF and your state law before doing so. The MVG is designed for rifle applications.
How tight should I torque the screws?
Hand-tight + 1/8 turn using a T15 Torx wrench. Magpul recommends 35-40 in-lbs of torque. Over-torquing strips M-LOK polymer slots. Blue Loctite recommended for fighting rifles or heavy use.
Will it interfere with my optic or laser?
The MVG mounts below the rail, so no — it won't interfere with top-rail optics or rail-mounted lasers. Just position it 2-4 inches forward of the magwell for natural hand placement.
